[00:00:00] Testing. Okay, we're good. All right. Once again, thank you all for coming today and such a warm welcome to all of you.
[00:00:09] I've been both nervous and very excited to get to this point and preach to you on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. As you would know that for the last month, almost two months, we've been covering things on the Holy Spirit. And this may or may not be one of the last ones in the series.
[00:00:31] Yeah. So two weeks ago, I spoke on what I didn't know back then, but was quite a debated topic in the Christian world about the infilling and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I only realized afterwards, but it's good to wrestle with these things and to with all your heart find the truth. That is what we need to do always.
[00:00:58] And the point I wanted to drive home two weeks ago was the fact that the Holy Spirit does come.
[00:01:08] He came at Pentecost and he came at many times after that to fill people with his power so that they could go and do the will of God. Okay. So it's clear to see and also what it looked like. So that when it happens, which I am trusting for we will not run away from that when the Holy Spirit comes, that we will recognize it because we have studied the Word and we have seen.
[00:01:40] Today I want to start off with three questions.
[00:01:47] Do you think that you being here, and I'm not talking about here in church today, I'm talking about being in Chisamba in Zambia and here at church today.
[00:01:59] Do you think that it was totally man made, whether it was all our own doing and it was all designed by us? Or do you think but God has had some hand in that?
[00:02:15] Okay.
[00:02:16] Secondly, do you think that each Sunday is purely man made, that we decide as men what we will do in services and we keep to a program and so on? Or do you think that God himself has a hand in every Sunday gathering that we come together with?
[00:02:40] And then finally, do you think that we as people, as individuals, as even as a gathering, can we get in the way of what God wants to do in our midst?
[00:02:54] Can we inhibit what God wants to do in our midst?
[00:03:00] The answer to that is yes, and we'll get to it later.
[00:03:04] So we're going to start off with 1 Corinthians 12, 1:30 pop. And follow it. Sorry. Thanks.
[00:03:16] Follow it on the screen.
[00:03:19] I'm just going to read one to nine now.
[00:03:24] All right.
[00:03:26] And then we're going to go over a few things.
[00:03:29] Right?
[00:03:30] Paul's letter to the Corinthians concerning Spiritual gifts.
[00:03:35] Now, about the gifts of the spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.
[00:03:50] Therefore, I want you to know that no one has who is speaking by the Spirit of God says Jesus be cursed. And no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
[00:04:05] There are different kinds of gifts, but the same spirit distributes them.
[00:04:11] There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.
[00:04:15] There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone, it is the same God at work.
[00:04:24] Now, to each one, the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
[00:04:30] To one there is given through the Spirit, a message of wisdom.
[00:04:35] To another a message of knowledge by means of the same spirit.
[00:04:41] To another faith, by the same spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one spirit.
[00:04:50] There's a lot of emphasis there.
[00:04:53] To another miracle, to another gift of healing by that one spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another, the interpretation of tongues.
[00:05:17] All these are the work of one and the same Spirit. And he distributes them to each one just as he determines.
[00:05:29] Beautiful passage.
[00:05:34] And Paul starts off when he says, I don't want you to be uninformed.
[00:05:38] He.
[00:05:40] He realizes that people may be uninformed about the gifts of the Spirit.
[00:05:47] When something is new to us, our natural tendency is to be apprehensive and cautious. When something is new to us, that is our natural response.
[00:06:03] But Paul is now teaching us what the gifts of the Spirit are so that we are informed, so that when they do come, we cannot say we didn't know.
[00:06:16] So here he is teaching us. This is. These are the gifts of the Spirit.
[00:06:27] And so once we've read this and we've really wrestled with it, we cannot say, oh, but I didn't know, because we've been told.
[00:06:39] Right the next line, Paul.
[00:06:49] Or let me just say this rather. Before we come to Jesus, we can believe in all sorts of crazy things. I just heard something the other day, some silly little thing, and I mean, it was so ridiculous what I heard. It just like, almost made me angry. But in the same time, actually my heart goes out to people who believe such crazy things because they don't have the truth.
[00:07:19] We know that Jesus Christ, Jesus himself, He is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other way but Him.
[00:07:30] To the Father is the absolute way, the absolute truth and the absolute life. And if you ever want to know about the truth, you must go to the source of the truth, which is Jesus.
[00:07:40] And so believers have that foundation to stand on. And we learn from Jesus and through His Word.
[00:07:48] But before we know Jesus, we're open to anything because we don't have that rock to stand on.
[00:08:01] Verses 4 to 6.
[00:08:03] Not to spend time on it, but I found it enlightening and interesting to see almost. You almost see the Godhead in these couple of verses where it says, there's different kinds of gifts by the Spirit, there's different kinds of service by the Lord, by the same Lord, Lord Jesus, and there are different kinds of working, but all of them, and in everyone, it is the same God at work. It's almost like he's saying, Father, Son and Holy Spirit are involved. Here again, God is one, Right?
[00:08:45] Starting from verse seven now, where he says, now to each one, the manifestation. Now to you. I don't know about you, but for me that has a negative connotation because I think of demons manifesting and so on.
[00:09:01] Manifesting simply means the act of making something evident or clear.
[00:09:07] And so for the best example to use is the window.
[00:09:10] The wind blows. You cannot see it, but you can see the effects of the wind. You can feel it against your skin. And it's undeniable that the wind is there, even though you can't see it.
[00:09:21] And you can see the effects. You can see the trees blowing in the wind. Again, you can't see it, but you see the effects. So it is undeniable that the wind is there.
[00:09:32] In the same way, these gifts are a way that the Holy Spirit makes Himself known.
[00:09:40] He shows Himself to be true and real through these gifts.
[00:09:45] And so they must happen.
[00:09:52] So that's manifestation. And then very, very importantly, I almost want to say the most important thing I would say today is that the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
[00:10:10] That is so important.
[00:10:12] The gifts of the Spirit are given to individuals not for yourself, but for the person sitting next to you.
[00:10:20] That is why they were given.
[00:10:22] They were given to build the church and to use them for your brother and your sister.
[00:10:30] And not just here, of course, out there as well. But you know what I'm saying?
[00:10:35] So please bear that in mind as we go through all of this, because I think some beliefs.
[00:10:44] We'll get to that in a minute. All right, so let's quickly have a look at each one of those gifts. And I just want to very briefly try and describe each one.
[00:10:55] So to one is given the Spirit of Wisdom.
[00:10:59] Some people are given an extra measure of wisdom.
[00:11:05] And I know I've met someone as I was getting to know him, I just said to myself, I said, yeah, this guy. And he was a man of God, awesome man of God.
[00:11:16] And I just felt in my spirit that this guy has the gift of wisdom because he was wise beyond his years.
[00:11:26] And so I hope that you've seen this maybe in the body of Christ, where there are people that have a gift of wisdom that would be. And sometimes that's what we need. Sometimes you are in a place where you don't know which way to turn and the gift is there to help you.
[00:11:48] The next one is the message of knowledge.
[00:11:52] And that is basically knowing something about someone or something that is impossible to know.
[00:11:59] God reveals this to you.
[00:12:01] And I have seen that in my own life. And I have seen that. I have heard so many testimonies of people who go, who are responding to what they feel the Holy Spirit is saying to them.
[00:12:15] They go and speak to someone, and then that someone says, how on earth could you know that that is nothing but a miracle?
[00:12:24] The fact that God has revealed that to you about me.
[00:12:27] And that is a way to show that person that Jesus is real and he is working through the Spirit, through His Spirit in our lives.
[00:12:36] So that's a message of knowledge.
[00:12:39] Another is faith.
[00:12:41] I'm sure last week I shared briefly on faith.
[00:12:45] Some people just have an extra measure of faith. And when we go through tough times and we don't have the faith, but we have someone in our midst who has the faith, and they can come to you and sit with you and pray with you and process with you, and he will lift you up in the little faith that you bring.
[00:13:07] Okay, so people with a gift of faith are there to help lift us up because they believe God can do it.
[00:13:21] The next one is gifts of healing.
[00:13:24] The spirit will give a gift of healing to someone.
[00:13:29] Maybe someone has the ability to pray for people and they are healed.
[00:13:36] You know, I have said this before. I never seen this for myself in my own eyes. But I believe with all my heart. And I so look forward to that day when I see it happen. Because I know God heals.
[00:13:49] But for some people, he gives that gift. And I know people, I know people who can testify of healing in their own bodies.
[00:13:59] The next one is to another miraculous powers. And so I quite understood with that one. But in another translation it said the working of miracles refers to the supernatural acts that go beyond natural laws, demonstrating God's power.
[00:14:15] So an example would Be Jesus walking on the water or Jesus turning water into wine.
[00:14:22] So it's things that happen outside of the natural realm that are not possible.
[00:14:28] That's a gift.
[00:14:29] It can be a gift from the Holy Spirit. Next one is prophecy number six.
[00:14:34] Prophecy. Prophecy is such a powerful gift.
[00:14:39] And what prophecy is, is it is receiving and communicating a message from God. That is the definition of prophecy. It's not only to tell the future or say in advance what will happen, is what often happened in the Old Testament with the prophets.
[00:15:02] It is that. But it's more than that. It is speaking the mind of God. That is what prophecy is.
[00:15:10] And prophecy is one gift that is used to edify the whole body of Christ. It is a beautiful, amazing gift.
[00:15:23] The next one is distinguishing between spirits.
[00:15:27] When I was reading this, I was taken back to Simon the Sorcerer in Acts, in the Book of Acts, where this guy, according to the book, did miracles. He did some amazing things somehow.
[00:15:43] And people. And he had followers. And people looked at him and said, no, there's something definitely about this guy. But there are.
[00:15:52] There is the Holy Spirit and then there are other spirits. And some people will have the gift to discern which is which, because some of them can be extremely deceiving.
[00:16:01] So there is that gift of discerning between spirits, the gift of talking in different kinds of tongues.
[00:16:13] I did a lot of cross references on this gift.
[00:16:16] And some of the cross references take you to a meaning that is speaking in different languages.
[00:16:26] And in. In the Book of Mark, it refers specifically to a new tongue, a new tongue never heard before.
[00:16:34] So it's both of those things can be different languages, but it can be in a language not known.
[00:16:41] And I know that this one can be a stumbling block for people, but guys, it's there in the Bible.
[00:16:51] Speaking in tongues is there.
[00:16:55] And then finally, number nine, interpretation of tongues.
[00:17:01] I'm going to tell you a little story in my own life about this one in a minute.
[00:17:10] And he stresses over and over again about all of these gifts being as different as they are. They are all from the same God. They are from the Holy Spirit.
[00:17:23] They can be very different in appearance. But he's told us about them. Now we know, and he assures us that they are from the same spirit.
[00:17:41] So the story of interpretation of tongues, I remember in my hometown of Ishawi when I was this big. This is like some of my earliest memories. And I grew up in a church where people spoke tongues in tongues often.
[00:17:56] So I remember first hearing it and thinking, as everyone does, this is very weird.
[00:18:01] But I grew up with it, and I got used to it.
[00:18:05] The one day, and I remember it like it was yesterday.
[00:18:11] There was a guy who we were praying and worshiping, and then he spoke in tongues. Immediately afterwards, another person started praying.
[00:18:20] And I thought, oh, that's interesting that I was only that big. But I remember thinking that then when this guy had stopped praying, it went back to the same guy who was speaking tongues. And then he carried on.
[00:18:33] Immediately after, went to that same guy who was praying, and he prayed again.
[00:18:37] And I remember looking at this thinking, what's happening here? But I remember the guy praying in English and just the intensity in which he was praying, and it was like it was a message directly from God for the church.
[00:18:54] It was incredible.
[00:18:56] You can think I'm crazy, but I promise you, it happened in my life, and I will never forget that day. And that's the thing about these things, you know, when they happen to you, you will know.
[00:19:10] Very difficult to try and stand up and convince people who haven't experienced it. It's very difficult. But when it happens to you, you will know and you will be convinced.
[00:19:22] All right, I'm going to read the rest of Corinthians there.
[00:19:28] I'm going to go through it reasonably quickly.
[00:19:32] So starting from verse 12.
[00:19:34] Just as a body, though one have many parts, but in all parts.
[00:19:40] Sorry, but all its many parts form one body. So it is with Christ.
[00:19:45] We are all baptized by one spirit, so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free, and we were all given the one spirit to drink. Even so, the body is not made up of one part, but of many.
[00:20:04] Now, if the foot should say, because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body. It would not.
[00:20:11] It would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body. It would not for that reason, stop being part of the body.
[00:20:22] If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
[00:20:31] But in fact, God placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
[00:20:40] Question one.
[00:20:44] Do you think that you are here just by your own doing your own engineering, or do you think God has had a part in it?
[00:20:53] God has placed every person, every part of the body just as he wanted it.
[00:21:02] If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
[00:21:08] The eye cannot say to the hand. Sorry. And as we go through this, I just want you to think of your part in the body.
[00:21:14] I don't know what you feel your part is, but every part is absolutely necessary.
[00:21:22] And God ordained the eye cannot say to the hand, I don't need you. And the head cannot say to the feet, I don't need you. On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.
[00:21:37] And the parts that we think are less honourable we treat with special honour.
[00:21:43] And the parts that are un presentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment.
[00:21:54] But God has put the body together, giving greater honour to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
[00:22:08] If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.
[00:22:17] And on that verse I want to say is that the way you feel when one of us in this body hurts, do we hurt for that person?
[00:22:28] If someone has reason to rejoice, do we rejoice with that person?
[00:22:32] Do we have that kind of connection and intimacy with one another?
[00:22:39] Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it.
[00:22:47] And God has placed in the church, first of all apostles, seconds, prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
[00:23:02] Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
[00:23:07] Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues?
[00:23:11] Do all interpret?
[00:23:14] No, I added that now eagerly desire the greatest gifts, the greater gifts.
[00:23:30] So I know that the, the gifts of the Spirit can be quite contentious. And, and I know that some people would think that we do not have a need for the gifts of the Spirit these days. And I think many of them, the reason they give is because we have the Word of God now, when they didn't have the Word. So we have the Word now.
[00:23:59] Obviously I do not see it like that.
[00:24:03] And this is why, Or rather they would say they are not active today because we have the Word.
[00:24:14] So the gifts are not relevant. I believe that is the argument.
[00:24:18] Firstly, I want to say that I see that the first, the early church needed them.
[00:24:25] The early church and not only the only church, but the 12 apostles, they needed the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.
[00:24:32] The apostles who walked with Jesus for three years, who knew him more intimately than we would know them, but they needed the Holy Spirit and His gifts in order to build the church.
[00:24:53] The Word, the written word in itself. I'm going to give someone a fright. But don't worry, does not bring life, it points to the life.
[00:25:06] I will justify what I've just said and I'll say it again. The Word in itself does not bring life, but it points to the life.
[00:25:15] You can be an expert in the Word but not be a child of God. Would you agree with that?
[00:25:21] Yes.
[00:25:23] John 5:39, 41 of my favorite scriptures.
[00:25:28] Jesus is talking to the Pharisees who were experts in the Word of God.
[00:25:33] He says, you study the Scriptures diligently because you think in them you have eternal life.
[00:25:40] These are the very scriptures that testify about me. Yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
[00:25:48] Life is found in the person of Jesus Christ and His written word. His revealed word to us points to Jesus.
[00:26:02] And it points to us and teaches us, as I'll show you now again, that he is the Way, the truth and the life Jesus is.
[00:26:12] Which is more important?
[00:26:15] You've heard this before. Which is more important, reading the Bible or praying?
[00:26:20] We can answer that question with another question.
[00:26:22] Which is more important? Breathing in or breathing out.
[00:26:27] Both are necessary for life and in the same way.
[00:26:35] So and in the same way. The Word of God needs the Holy Spirit. They work hand in hand. They are as important as each other. Cannot have one without the other because the Word points to Jesus and the Holy Spirit opens the Word to us.
[00:26:54] Hebrews 4 this is what the word is all about. Hebrews 4:12, 13 for the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow.
[00:27:12] It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
[00:27:25] And again, I want to go back to that example of it is possible that you can be an absolute expert in the Word of God and yet be a million miles from him and not be his child.
[00:27:45] Again, I want to say that the Holy Spirit is the one that and it's important how we approach the Word of God.
[00:27:51] We need to be prayerful. We need to know. We need to ask the Lord to open our hearts and our minds to receive what the Word.
[00:28:01] It almost brings the Word alive to us.
[00:28:07] 2 Timothy 3, 16, 17 All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
[00:28:28] So we can see Again, what the Word is not only there for, but hugely. Therefore, it's for teaching us, it's for showing us the way.
[00:28:38] It's for rebuking if rebuking is needed. It's for correcting if correction is needed, and training so that all of us can know the will of God.
[00:28:59] And so just like breathing in and out, So just like breathing in and out is essential, just like reading the Word and praying and seeking the Holy Spirit in, that is essential.
[00:29:18] So we need the Word to come to Jesus and to show us the way to him. Romans 10:17 says, Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word about Christ.
[00:29:34] We know about Jesus through the message that the Word brings and the Word points to Jesus.
[00:29:45] I want to come back to question three now.
[00:29:49] Can we get in the way of what God wants to do in our lives and in the life of the church?
[00:29:56] Can we inhibit what God wants to do with us as we gather or outside as well in our com groups or whatever?
[00:30:05] Can we be a hindrance?
[00:30:10] You know that Jesus was unable to perform miracles at times.
[00:30:17] Matthew, I'm going to read two passages, each one with a slightly different view.
[00:30:21] Matthew 13, verse 58 says, and he did not do many miracles because of their lack of Faith.
[00:30:29] And Mark 6, verse 5 and 6 says, he could not do any miracles there except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith.
[00:30:43] And so the reason why he either could not do or would not do was because of their lack of faith.
[00:30:50] So did they hinder what God wanted to do amongst them? He was doing it everywhere else.
[00:30:58] So I would say, absolutely, we can stand in the way.
[00:31:07] We can have like they did little or no faith.
[00:31:11] And we see that Jesus either can't or won't perform what he wants to perform because of our lack of faith.
[00:31:22] Maybe it's just because we don't know.
[00:31:26] We just don't know. You don't know what you don't know, so we need to be taught.
[00:31:34] Maybe it's because you feel it's new and it's too strange for you, and so you, you back out and you say, no, no, this is not for me. I mean, yeah, I know it happens all over and I know there's actually good reason sometimes to do that, but it does happen. It happens.
[00:31:53] It also might be because of the way we've grown up and what we are accustomed to.
[00:31:58] We've always done it this way and if it ever changes, if it ever looks different I'm not interested.
[00:32:04] That could be a reason. And so you shut yourself off and you turn away another one. This is just a list of many. And this one, I'm sure it affects every single one of us. Fear of man.
[00:32:18] How often do we not do what we feel the Holy Spirit telling us to do because we fear man and what they will say, what they will think.
[00:32:30] I know I'm guilty of that. Almost every Sunday.
[00:32:37] So we.
[00:32:43] I just want to. This came to me while I was preparing this, and it may be an exhortation. You used the word exhortation, and it wasn't quite in the context I'm using it now.
[00:32:52] An exhortation, if I'm not mistaken, is a hard word, not like correction, but it's I exhort you, I encourage you.
[00:33:01] So this is one of those words.
[00:33:04] It's not directed to anyone. It's directed to every single believer. Okay? So please take it like that.
[00:33:11] Sunday gatherings are so much more important than you think.
[00:33:20] Sunday gatherings should not be somewhere way down on your priority list. I really believe this with all my heart. And I have no ulterior motive to say this.
[00:33:32] I really don't.
[00:33:34] Sunday gatherings are for your benefit.
[00:33:38] And when you are part of Sunday gathering, you benefit everybody else in the body.
[00:33:43] And so it is a priority.
[00:33:50] God knows.
[00:33:51] He knows that we need rest.
[00:33:54] Yes, he knows we need rest because we cannot. We are not God. We cannot go on indefinitely. And so he gives us the Sabbath. He commands us to take the Sabbath because we need it.
[00:34:07] In the same way, oh, God also knows we need community.
[00:34:14] He created us for community. He did not create us to live in isolation.
[00:34:20] And so he's given us community. Community there, community here, most definitely, most importantly.
[00:34:27] And so in the same way, I want to say that God knows you need church. You need church.
[00:34:35] And we all need the gathering of the saints, because God works in times like those.
[00:34:47] And coming near to an end. Now, I want to just say that God is a real person. I know you might be stating the obvious here, but it's difficult if you've never seen someone.
[00:35:04] We do this in faith, and by the way, we will be blessed for that.
[00:35:08] But Jesus is a real live person and we can have, and we must have relationship with Him.
[00:35:17] Relationship means communication, talking. It also means listening and receiving.
[00:35:23] It means obeying God's love. Language is obedience.
[00:35:32] And soon I'm going to be preaching on the revelation of God, as in how God reveals Himself to us. A beautiful topic as well.
[00:35:43] So in closing now, I just want to ask you, have you ever experienced any of these gifts operating in this inner body in all your life? Have you ever experienced?
[00:35:55] Are you ready for it?
[00:35:58] Are we as a body going to resist?
[00:36:02] Are we going to open ourselves to what God wants to do through the gifts of the spirit? Because we know what they are, we know what it looks like?
[00:36:21] Will we get it wrong? Yes, we are human beings and no human being is perfect.
[00:36:31] And so this is another reason why we have the body.
[00:36:34] Because all of these gifts we can test.
[00:36:37] We can test with each other, with elders, with experienced people. In the Word is a safe place.
[00:36:47] And by the way, they must be tested. Prophetic words that come must be tested. You can test them with other people who are gifted in prophecy, tested against the Word of God. Is there anything about that word that is contradictory in any way to the Word of God?
[00:37:04] Then you can say, thanks, but I think you got it wrong. Because here in the Word it says X, Y and Z.
[00:37:10] So these things are all good. These things are all there to check us, keep us on the straight and narrow.
[00:37:24] I hope that's it from me today.
[00:37:30] As I said, I've been looking forward to this day.
[00:37:35] I personally feel like for a long time we.
[00:37:40] I don't know, we kind of lack something here.
[00:37:43] And I think for many reasons, and it's understandable, I understand it, you know, all the reasons that I gave there. But I just really pray that we would seek the Lord, each one of us, with all of our hearts, and that we would ask him to reveal himself to us.
[00:38:03] And as we've learned in the Word, what that looks like, what it comes as, that we can know it when we see it, we can accept it. You know, we should be excited to come to church. We should be excited to see what is God going to do with us today. What is he going to show us about himself today?
[00:38:22] And it's always, always for his glory.
[00:38:26] Not for our glory, is for our common good.
[00:38:31] Amen.
[00:38:32] We pray.
[00:38:34] Heavenly Father, we thank you for you, Almighty God, that you exist, that you are more real than we are standing here. We are just a reflection of you, Lord.
[00:38:47] Everything exists and is held together by your mighty power.
[00:38:53] Lord, I thank you for your word.
[00:38:56] I thank you for Jesus, for all that you have done, Lord.
[00:39:01] Thank you that you are the way, the truth and the life, and that we can find these things in you. We can find the way, we can find the truth and we can find the life in you. Lord Jesus, I thank you for the way you've designed things. We cannot better your design. And I pray that we would learn it diligently, Lord.
[00:39:23] And I pray that by your spirit that you would do what you want to do, Lord, and that we would recognize and that we would be open to it. Lord, please work in our hearts and have your way with us.
[00:39:39] I pray in Jesus, mighty name, amen.
